Yesterday Elena and Miguel-Angel were serving in a selection committe for hiring a lecturer for the School of Industrial Engineering of Castilla La Mancha University. This was an opportunity to meet some colleagues (appearing in the picture).

It is hard to appreciate in the picture, but the heraldic Escutcheon (the coat of arms of the University) has in its lower left quadrant the symbol of the Order of Preachers (dominican fathers). This comes from one of the origins of the University, namely the Pontificio Convento-Universidad de Almagro Nuestra Señora del Rosario. The other quadrants are also representing the legacy of institutions that are considered predecessors of the University.

From left to right: Miguel-Angel, Elena, José-Angel Olivas, Pascual Julián, Manuel Prieto and Francisco Romero
