CCITA 2010

Four members of the IE group are in Cadiz for SPDECE 2010, part of the joint Ibero-american conference on learning objects CCITA 2010. Ramiro, Miguel Angel, Miguel and Salvador will be presenting 3 works on different research activities of our group.

Ramiro and Miguel are in this very moment presenting the semantic search underlying mechanism and interfaces implemented in the Organic.Edunet portal, an effort in the framework of the Organic.Edunet project funded by the EU.

Miguel Angel presented yesterday evening part of a pHd work by Christian Cechinel on the metrics of learning object metadata, whereas Salvador will present this afernoon a similar work carried out by Javier Sanz in a pHd successfully presented a month ago.

 

CCITA 2010 on TV

Yesterday, a documentary on CCITA2010, the joint ibeo-american conference on learning technologies, was broadcasted on TVE internacional, an internationally-broadcast Spanish language channel run by Spain’s national broadcaster, TVE. CCITA 2010 is the second edition of a conference on learning objects and technologies that takes place at the same time in both sides of the Atlantic. This year the conferences will be hosted by the University of Yucatan (Mexico) and the University of Cadiz (Spain).

In the documentary, members of the organizing committe in Spain (IE member Salvador Sanchez) and Mexico (Manuel Prieto from University of Castilla la Mancha) talk about the aims of the conference and the current state of the art in elearning.
